WAKING THE MAGISTRATE

In an age when all sense of magic is gone,

in a world where beautiful myths don’t belong,

while the powers that be block the mystic beyond

there is still hope.

 

Waking The Magistrate is about a child who is summoned by  the Magistrals, the beings of fantasy that all have forgot, to wake the Magistrate of Magic, Mystery, and Majestic Mythical Magisteries, who has been slumbering for far too many years.  Only one special child can wake him, and if he does not awake both worlds will crumble away.

This is a story that rushed upon me earlier this week.  I have a great multitude of ideas, but wanted to put a glimpse of the story out there.  Hope no one beats me to the.

Waking up, staying still.  Too warm to move.  Close eyes, too early.

There is work yet to do, but nothing is too urgent.  Nothing as urgent as sleep.  No urge as strong.

Merely a pile of dirty dishes, dirty laundry, cluttered papers, cluttered problems.  Too much.

Eyes closed, black void is almost cheerful. 

Seconds tick by at the speed of hours. 

A glance at the clock, only twelve minutes have passed.

The state of rest is beyond all time.

All eternity collapses within two holy eyes.

Stories and possibilities parade on by, masquerading themselves as reality, reachable or realized.

Layers of stone and substance, dark and gray, pile upon each other with gruesome display.

Every angle is acute and obtuse and distance itself has dissolved.

Far is near and near is far, black is grey is marshlands and rocky hills.

Eyes flung open, light fills in the gaps.  Only two minutes.

The pressure within the skull or the pain of rising to work, it’s a query unanswerable.

It remains unanswered.

TOGETHER (NOW AS ONE)

 

Sing together now as one

Move together now as one

The battle is won

And we are one

Join together now as one

 

And we will fight together, live together, walk together now

And we will run together, laugh together, sing together now

And we will die together, cry together, bind ourselves together

We are one, one, one

 

Every part must do its part

Everybody now part of the body

The body is one

Yes we are one

Come together now as one

 

And we will raise our banner high, yes we will shout our battle cry

Yes, we will stand in unity and we will sing in unison to

 

God The Father, God The Spirit, God the Savior Son

We are one with the Father, one in the Spirit, one by the Savior Son

And we will run together, laugh together, cry together, die together

live together, breathe together, be together now

And forevermore…

(run together, laugh together, cry together, die together,

live together, breathe together, be together now)
